September with the Temple

The cool, crisp mornings of autumn are here, and the Temple is gearing up for our Fall events!

Mark your calendars now for our Samhain Psychic Faire at the end of October. A flier will be emailed with more information next week! We look forward to seeing everyone there.

In September, we celebrate the Second Harvest Mabon, on Saturday the 21st from 7:00 pm -9:00 pm. This is the time of year when fruits are harvested, providing us both food and wine. It’s a time of community, connecting with those around you and reflection of the past year. How have you served your community, both the physical and the spiritual? We will partner with the Sacred Animals to seek out the lost child of Modron. In dance and song we will raise energy for the blessings of the Divine within and without. Masks are encouraged if you have them, as is your Witchy finery. All are welcome to attend, regardless of experience or beliefs. We only ask that you bring an open mind and come in Perfect Love and Trust.

The workshop from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm before Mabon will be Introduction and Meditations with Gods and Goddessesled by HPS Alix Wright. This workshop will feature an introduction to Gods and Goddesses of world pantheons, including Greek, Roman, Sumerian, and Celtic. Learn the differences and similarities and meditate to create a connection with new Spiritual Guides. Discover myths that have been passed down through the ages, and create a working relationship with Spirit that will further your path and Their Work in the world.

This month we will also be featuring a Tarot Weekend Workshop with Christopher Giroux, on Friday night from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.  The Tarot can be used as a divinatory tool and/or a tool that aids us in our personal transformation. As a tool, the Tarot follows an evolutionary process and each suit has a story to tell. Each suit takes us on a journey, and to know that journey is to know ourselves. To know ourselves is to give us insight which encourages us to be more responsible for ourselves and the world. This workshop intensive is designed to introduce participants to the journey of the Tarot, suit by suit, in order to learn the cards and their stories so that we might be able to use them to gain the insight we need to be more effective in affecting change in our lives. Tape recording is acceptable and/or recommended. More information will be mailed next week with workshop fees and registration.

Other events include our monthly Healing Clinic with the Virgo Ministry on Sunday September 1st from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm, and Stitch’N’Witch on Saturday September 14th from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

Wednesday September 18th will be a Protection Ritual, and Thursday September 19th,from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm is the Full Moon ritual.
