The Temple’s Cancer Ministry offers downloads for parents to celebrate the sabbats of the Wheel of the Year with their children.
Beltane marks the beginning of the pastoral summer season when livestock were moved to their summer pastures. It is traditionally celebrated on May 1st.
As a fire festival, Beltane is about fertility and purification. The Celts would create two large fires of sacred wood to act as a focus for their purification rites. Herds of animals and even the people would pass between the fires to purify them.
This 18-page download includes education on Beltane, a Beltane ritual, ritual, 1-page crafting instructions for making Beltane ribbons and an educational and coloring page on the sun god Apollo. All proceeds support the Temple of Witchcraft’s ongoing work.
