Adelma Grenier Simmons, known as the “First Lady of Herbs,” was one of the leading herbal figures of the 20th century in the United States. She was not only a local legend but also nationally known for her knowledge of herbal lore, gardening and history. Adelma helped spark interest in herb gardening, was a prolific author and wrote over 50 books. She owned and operated Caprilands Herb Farm for 55 years. She utilized the farm as an herbal school, providing daily lectures and herbal lunches for visitors until her death at age 93.
Lori Ouellette is a 4th degree Initiate and is currently enrolled in Witchcraft 5. She is a Ministerial Deputy for the Scorpio Ministry and focuses on hospice care, bereavement and ancestor work. Lori is a psychopomp and has trained as Death Doula. She is a mother, teacher and school administrator and has also worked as a hospice spiritual care coordinator and pastoral care aide. She volunteers with the Temple of Witchcraft in CT and as a mentor in the online Mystery School. In her free time, Lori enjoys communing with ancestors and plant spirits in her garden or in the kitchen.
