Litha is commonly known as the summer solstice or Midsummer. It is the peak of solar power, the Sun’s equivalent to the full moon. In the northern hemisphere, it is the longest day and shortest night of the year. It usually falls on or around June 21st. Litha is often celebrated with outdoor gatherings for feasting and bonfires.
