Exploring the Queer Mysteries

May 2024 – February 2025, 4th Wednesday evening of the month, 7:00 to 8:30 pm Eastern on Zoom video conferencing with High Priestess Erica Baron

Class sessions will be recorded for those who cannot attend live.

Dive into the Queer Mysteries in this series of nine monthly online classes. Queerness and Witchcraft have many points of connection, from the creativity that comes from a spirit of transgression, to the insight available from an outsider position, to the magick of speaking truth about ourselves and our experiences.

If you identify as queer, this class will help you explore the magickal qualities and spiritual wisdom which are part of queer experiences of many kinds and deepen your practice as a queer witch. If you do not identify as queer, this class will help you learn more about the queer community and the varieties of queer experience, while exploring what these mysteries have to teach you in your own life and practice.

Each class will include a gathering on Zoom, which will be recorded for those who cannot attend, as well as 3 to 5 homework assignments to help you explore the topics more fully. Homework will be turned in to the teacher for conversation and feedback, and completion of all the homework will allow you to pass the class, and confer CEU credits to ordained Temple Ministers.

This class requires completion of Witchcraft II or the equivalent as a prerequisite. If you feel you have equivalent experience, please inquire and note it in your application.

Planned topics include:

  • May 22: What do we mean by “Queer”?
  • June 26: Queer Ancestors and Pride
  • July 24: Queer Deities
  • August 28: Transgression and Rebellion
